Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund

Welcome to the Health Care Stabilization Fund Website

The Health Care Stabilization Fund (the Fund) was created by the Kansas Legislature in 1976 as an essential part of the Health Care Provider Insurance Availability Act. The Fund provides excess professional liability coverage for health care providers as defined by K.S.A. 40-3401(f).  An 11-member Board of Governors has statutory oversight over the Fund. This website serves to assist health care providers working in Kansas, professional liability insurance companies, insurance agents and others with pertinent information.
